The YANGWANG U9 Xtreme, rooted in BYD's 30 years of pioneering electrification expertise, integrates engineers' ultimate visions for new-energy vehicle performance. It shatters the "impossible barriers", aiming to set benchmarks for top speed and Nürburgring hypercar lap times.
"Xtreme" is derived from the English word "Extreme" — it proclaims the core product value: the Pursuit Beyond, born to explore the boundaries of absolute speed.

WORLD'S FASTEST EV · ATP PAPENBURG
ATP Papenburg, Germany. Three laps, three attempts: 300, 302, 308.4 mph — on the third, the record fell. The fastest production car on the planet, past the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ (304.8 mph, 2019).
The ATP Papenburg high-speed oval banks at 49.7°, recommended limit 250 km/h — yet U9 Xtreme exits the corner at 300 km/h. Driver Marc Basseng admits the corner could be taken even faster; he simply didn't want to load the tyres laterally.
The straight is under 2.5 miles — less than half of Ehra-Lessien, where Bugatti set 304.8 mph. With electric acceleration, this straight was enough.
After the record, telemetry showed another 1.5 seconds of full throttle available. Chief engineer Daniel Yin confirms 250 kW of power remained in reserve.
Tyres were built for 500 km/h — 9 minutes on the dyno drum without issue; the actual top-speed run lasted just 3–4 seconds. There is still power in reserve — enough to break 500 km/h.

The lap was set on 22 August 2025, certified on 21 October — the "double first" was written.
Tuned for the Ring. A kinetic-energy recovery algorithm developed for the Nordschleife shares the mechanical braking load — across 20.8 km of continuous heavy braking, the system stays stable and durable.
After the record. In November 2025, Zhuzhou, Zhuhai, Chengdu Tianfu and Shanghai International — U9 Xtreme took the fastest production-car lap at all four circuits.

For 130 years, racing revolved around tyres, horsepower and weight. The new-energy era introduces a variable a supercar has never had — fully active body posture control.
The e4 platform masters longitudinal and lateral posture, steadying power and composure on complex track surfaces; DiSus-X masters vertical posture, independently commanding active force at each wheel — precise axle-load transfer and mass distribution for corners that are more controllable, and safer. Their systematic merging reshapes the physical limits of an electric supercar.

The world's first series-produced 1200V ultra-high voltage platform, purpose-built for track performance. Re-engineered cooling supports the 133% increased power output; drive-system thermal-exchange efficiency rises 40% — peak performance holds, suppressing thermal fade.

Four breakthrough high-RPM motors, each at 555 kW, generate over 3,000 Ps. Distributed four-wheel drive creates steering yaw torque through vectored wheel torque alone — steering independent of front-wheel angle.

Fully compatible with the 1200V platform — the world's first ultra-high-voltage fully active body control system. Rapid independent adjustment of all four suspension arms suppresses pitching and roll, enhancing tyre contact and grip.

A breakthrough in lithium iron phosphate technology — the track-grade Blade Battery supports 30C ultra-high-rate discharge for sustained extreme output and energy recovery.

The GitiSport e·GTR2ᴾᴿᴼ semi-slick tyres, co-developed with Giti: aramid fibre and standing-wave suppression break the 500 km/h barrier; RaceGrip Pro raises friction coefficients by over 38%.

Titanium calipers: rigid, low-conductivity, precise. Carbon-ceramic discs: slotted and drilled, peak operating temperature reduced by 48°C. Regenerative recovery fused with mechanical braking: an algorithm developed for the Nordschleife.

The world's largest carbon-fibre monocoque: aerospace-grade T700/12K, over 110 kg of carbon fibre — density a fifth of steel's, strength five to six times greater.
Traditional handcraft and hardcore electric supercar technology, fused in "Dawn Moment".
Ultra-fine 5–10-micron gold powder, hand-scattered into pure black paint, layer upon layer sealed in clearcoat. Under sunlight, it glows like the first rays of dawn breaking through clouds.
Crafted with traditional lacquer-polishing techniques, the matte gold is sprayed and ground by hand, warming the machine. The name comes from the morning the U9 Xtreme broke the world record. The production "Dawn Moment" made its global debut at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show.
